HII – Mission Technologies is seeking a Network Security Engineer. The Network Security Engineer provides cybersecurity and network defense support to U.S. Special Operations Command (SOCOM) by designing, implementing, and maintaining secure network architectures across mission‑critical environments. This role executes network security maintenance activities, configures physical and virtual firewalls, and ensures secure network operations in accordance with DoD and SOCOM security policies.

The engineer supports the customer’s Security Officer, develops compliant security configurations, and enhances the resilience, performance, and protection of networked systems supporting SOCOM missions.

This requisition supports hiring at multiple experience levels. Final placement will be determined based on the selected applicant’s qualifications, experience, and skill sets.

• Design, implement, and execute network security maintenance regimens to support secure and resilient operations.
• Configure and maintain physical and virtual firewalls, including cloud‑based security appliances, in accordance with DoD and SOCOM requirements.
• Work closely with the customer’s Security Officer to support and enhance the organization’s security program.
• Implement the technical aspects of the customer’s cybersecurity program, ensuring compliance with applicable DoD policies.
• Facilitate internal and external security audits, assessments, and inspections.
• Translate cybersecurity and operational requirements into compliant and secure network configurations.
• Provide full lifecycle support for firewalls, switches, wireless networks, and associated network security components.
