The Software Enterprise Deployment and Integration team delivers solutions to the public safety sector. We provide technology and tools that allow customers to focus on their mission, enabling faster, smarter, and safer decisions. Services include Emergency Call Handling, 911 Equipment, Computer Aided Dispatch, Records Management Systems, Jail Management Systems and Mobile Data Computing, among others. We work with customers to understand deep business requirements for MSI Emergency Call Handling applications, documenting, implementing, verifying, training and supporting deployments.
Responsibilities include workflow configuration, UI customization, provisioning, training, application‑level design capture with a solutions architect, documentation, and go‑live support.
The Emergency Call Handling (ECH) Application Specialist will report to the CCSS Application Specialist Manager. The Application Specialist is ultimately accountable for the provisioning of MSI ECH applications to meet the customer’s design specifics, including remote and on‑site provisioning, administrative instruction, cutover support, and handoff to support for Motorola’s on‑premise and cloud‑hosted ECH solutions.
Responsibilities- Perform system provisioning for ECH applications and instruct customers on ongoing configuration and maintenance tasks.
- Collaborate with sales, deployment, product, and support teams to plan activities, resolve problems, and ensure applications align with customer objectives.
- Communicate with customers to evaluate business processes, assess needs, and define system design requirements.
- Document all changes to the solution during implementation, including call flow or UI updates.
- Ensure provisioning and quality issues are resolved in a timely and efficient manner.
- Provide support to customers and channel partners while deploying the ECH solution into production.
- Serve as the subject matter expert to troubleshoot, diagnose, and correct technical problems and issues.
- Deliver detailed technical and administrative instruction on the ECH application ecosystem; provide end‑user instruction or content development when required.
- Stay current with industry best practices, emerging 911 technologies, and MSI products across the ecosystem.
- Work independently and in team environments, prioritize work, and execute deliverables accurately and on time. Independent, detail‑oriented, multitask‑capable, and eager to learn.
- Travel to customer locations as needed.
- Public Safety Dispatch/Call taking experience.
- Knowledge of 911/public safety, basic telecommunications and networking.
- Basic knowledge of networking, PCs, and operating systems.
- Working knowledge of Google Workspace.
- Self‑motivated in both team and solo environments.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills.
- Committed to accuracy and high standards.
- Adept at building strong internal and external relationships.
- Ability to scope effort and coordinate work to meet internal, external, and project timelines.
- Customer service focused.
- Experience with installation, administration, and troubleshooting.
- Previous experience in public safety applications deployment and integration, operations, or administration.
- Exercise judgment in selecting methods and techniques to obtain solutions.
- Apply critical thinking to solve problems and make decisions.
- Travel up to 75% as required.
This position is a remote position and candidates can be located anywhere in the US.
Target Base Salary Range: $85,000 - $95,000 USD
