Job Overview
The Senior IT Business Analyst – Retail is responsible for bridging the gap between Retail IT and the business to assess processes, determine, document and align requirements, deliver data-driven recommendations and reports to stakeholders for their assigned team or function. This role ensures the solution matches the needs of the business and enables changes in the organization by comprehending business problems and providing product or service solutions that will maximize its value to its stakeholders.
This is a senior level role that conducts complex work and contributes to organizational strategies. It requires minimal supervision on the day-to-day responsibilities.

Roles include network automation, infrastructure unification and modernization, data services and analytics, and digital offering.
Job Responsibilities- Evaluate business requirements against system capabilities by reviewing application configuration capabilities and technical requirements.
- Engage with business stakeholders, end users and other IT teams to understand how data and application driven changes to process, products, services, software and hardware can improve efficiency and add value.
- Partner with product manager/owner and business stakeholders on defining what is technologically feasible and financially and functionally reasonable.
- Create and maintain functional and non-functional documentation for IT and end users.
- Provide input on data models, application processes, business processes, test plans, technical design documents, user stories and other artifacts as appropriate.
- Manage the application change life cycle through documentation.
- Facilitate discussions on product and services recommendations to stakeholders.
- Present end user requirements, functional specifications, technical specifications and process flow diagrams to technical teams and other stakeholders.
- Partner with data services, information security, and architecture teams to ensure solution meets business requirements.
- Mentor and coach analysts on business standards and requirements; ensure best practices are followed.
- Informally lead solutions action plans.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline or a combination of relevant IT experience and education.
- 6‑10 years of relevant IT experience.
- 6‑10 years of experience working with process flow diagrams, data models, test plans, technical design documents, and business process documentation.
- 6‑10 years of experience working in software, networks, databases or other technology.
- Advanced knowledge of Enterprise Advantage.
- Advanced knowledge of retail systems including Point of Sale, pricing, and promotion solutions.
- Highly skilled in technical writing and requirements.
- Organizational and facilitation skills.
- Highly skilled in interpersonal and consultation.
- Advanced critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work independently and break down assigned work into workable tasks, along with delegating tasks.
- Ability to learn new systems, concepts and procedures.

- Ability to collaborate across teams and work in a remote environment.
- Ability to work with geographically dispersed teams.
- Good judgment is required for this position as there may be times when direct supervision may not be immediately available.
Hybrid Role
This position follows a hybrid schedule working in office 2‑3 days per week. The acceptable split between onsite and remote work is determined by the manager. Hybrid associates may choose to work from an office more frequently than required.
