- Serve as the field‑level owner for all end‑user devices supporting the Epic EHR implementation, including workstations, thin clients, mobile carts, printers, scanners, and peripherals.
- Conduct on‑site assessments at each go‑live location to evaluate current hardware state and perform gap analysis against Epic workflow requirements.
- Coordinate hardware procurement, staging, deployment, and testing in alignment with Epic project timelines.
- Participate in Technical Dress Rehearsals (TDR) to validate all Epic‑facing hardware and peripheral configurations; track and resolve issues to closure.
- Maintain and update end‑user device project plans, trackers, and go‑live readiness logs.
- Coordinate with Epic application project managers to ensure peripherals, storage, and hardware meet testing and production needs.
- Act as a liaison between the IT infrastructure team and Epic application team for all device‑related topics.
- Develop proficiency in Epic end‑user workflows relevant to field support (login, printing, device pairing, single sign‑on via Imprivata, peripheral configuration).
- Provide first‑line Epic technical triage at go‑live sites, distinguishing between application issues and device/infrastructure issues.
- Support end users during training, testing, and activation periods with device and connectivity troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with Epic application analysts to document and resolve site‑specific device compatibility issues.
- Maintain awareness of Epic upgrade cycles and assist with device readiness validation prior to upgrades.
- Conduct thorough, accurate hardware inventory assessments across all assigned locations.
- Maintain up‑to‑date records in the organization’s ITSM/asset management platform.
