Job Description
We're looking for an Automation Engineer with Net App storage expertise. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in Net App storage, as well as experience automating at an enterprise scale with Red Hat Ansible. Ideally, we need a candidate who also has experience with Net App Deployments and Migrations. This role is customer-facing and is responsible for Storage Architecture, Implementations and tech-refreshes, and automation technologies in a large-scale customer storage environment that is primarily Net App.
- Demonstrable hands-on technical experience with Net App ONTAP, Storage GRID, CVO and AFF.
- Handling larger Net App implementations, Deployments, Tech-refreshes and Migrations
- Demonstrable hands-on technical experience with Ansible Automation.
- Container and orchestration experience (Docker, Kubernetes, Red Hat Open Shift, Rancher, GKE, EKS, etc.).
- Strong programming or scripting skills (Python, JavaScript or Go).
- NCDA (Net App Certified Data Administrator).
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum framework.
- Hands-on experience with core cloud provider services (AWS, Azure, and/or GCP).
- Hands-on experience with Ansible and/or Hashicorp Terraform.
- Should be comfortable designing, building and deploying Ansible (Python/Power Shell etc) automation of Net App storage operational tasks in an enterprise environment.
- Plan , Implement and execute Net App storage migration services along Net App Day-0/1 support
- Need to be capable of hands-one configuration of necessary storage resource and networking requirements, troubleshooting issues as they arise, and automating deployments and updates as appropriate.
- Consultants work directly with customer technical contacts in the storage operations and architecture teams on a daily basis within production, development, and test environments.
Most work will be performed offsite but may require dedicated equipment (supplied by customer), VPN access, and the ability to work from a home office.
Compensation:
The hourly rate for this position is between $ per hour.
