Job Overview

Principal Technology Engineer – Workplace Technology, Field Agencies.

You will advance the Guardian Workplace, Communications and Collaboration capabilities and platforms for our Agencies & Producers partners, delivering an integrated and AI-enabled workplace experience that enables the field to connect, collaborate, and transact seamlessly. As a field advocate, you will ensure agency/field can connect & transact more seamlessly by leveraging Guardian approved technologies.

Your core responsibilities include defining the overall workplace architecture for field partners, soliciting feedback from home office and field/agencies partners, identifying gaps, collaborating on solutions with technology owners, securing stakeholder buy‑in, implementing new capabilities, and driving adoption. You will partner with messaging, workplace, help desk, cybersecurity, and other supporting field technology teams to prioritize and enhance field workplace and AI tools, maximize the capabilities Guardian already has access to, and champion the implementation of AI technologies (e.g., copilots, meeting summarization, productivity tools) across the workplace.

You will facilitate feedback from field members, identify trends, influence vendors, pursue continuous improvements, research new technologies to improve efficiency and security of the Windows collaboration environment, and collaborate with technical leads to develop cloud and mobile platform solutions. You will manage technology field requests, maintain an approved list of requests, oversee key agency technology tools such as Storefront and email branding, assist the cyber lead with CDM setups, and maintain architectural runway by creating vision and roadmaps for Guardian teams.

Responsibilities
  • Advance Guardian Workplace, Communications and Collaboration capabilities for field partners.
  • Ensure seamless connection and transaction across agency/field partners using approved technologies.
  • Drive workplace architecture, solicit feedback, identify gaps, and collaborate on feasible options with technology owners.
  • Implement solutions and champion adoption of AI technologies across the field workplace.
  • Partner with messaging, workplace, help desk, cybersecurity, and supporting technology teams to define roadmaps and prioritize enhancements.
  • Maximize existing capabilities, promote training, and encourage adoption in the field and agencies.
  • Facilitate feedback, identify trends, and influence vendors for continuous improvement.
  • Research and assist with implementation of new technologies and solutions for efficiency and security.
  • Collaborate with technical leads on cloud and mobile platform solutions.
  • Research, analyze, design, propose, and deliver appropriate workplace solutions.
  • Manage new technology field requests and maintain an approved request list.
  • Oversee key agency technology tools such as Storefront and email branding process.
  • Assist the cyber lead with CDM setups and changes.
  • Maintain architectural runway with vision and roadmaps to support Field & Agency distribution arms.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, computer engineering, Systems Analyst, or equivalent work experience.
  • Solid understanding of workplace and messaging technologies.
  • Experience with field/sales personnel is a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to collaborate across functions and explain technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high‑quality work within defined timelines.
  • Experience in financial services or insurance.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365, Zoom, Hearsay, Microsoft CoPilot, cloud services (AWS / Azure), Mac/PC, and mobile.
  • Hands‑on experience implementing and training on AI‑driven solutions (copilots, automation, insights).
  • Ability to transform conceptual thinking into actionable insights and thrive in cross‑company collaboration.
Location

Three days a week at a Guardian office in Holmdel, NJ, New York, NY, or Bethlehem, PA.

Salary

$ - $ (base pay). Final salary will be based on education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate.
