Overview
Senior Data Engineer (Level II & Level III)
Level II is Remote work. Level III is Onsite at Los Angeles, CA.
We are looking for experienced Data Engineers to support a large-scale Oracle to Snowflake migration initiative. This role involves dbt development, data transformation, pipeline validation and Snowflake optimization, along with strong collaboration across onsite and offshore teams.
Responsibilities- Level II Data Engineer (5+ years):
Develop and maintain dbt models;
Perform Oracle to Snowflake data transformation;
Validate data using row count & checksum methods;
Monitor ETL pipelines and ensure data accuracy;
Optimize SQL for Snowflake performance. - Level III Onsite - Lead / Architect (10+ years):
Design Snowflake architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold layers);
Define dbt standards, macros and CI/CD practices;
Lead UAT and stakeholder coordination;
Handle critical migration issues and production cutover;
Manage offshore delivery teams.
- Strong experience in dbt and Snowflake
- Advanced SQL skills
- Experience with Oracle to Snowflake migration
- Data validation and testing expertise
- Experience with Git, VS Code and CI/CD practices
- AWS Data Engineering (Glue, Lambda, Step Functions)
- Data Lake / ELT pipeline experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / IT or related field
