Position Title: Epic Interface Analyst - Remote

Employment Duration: Full time

Offer Relocation: Yes (Remote position with two on‑site weeks per year in Toppenish, Washington)

Exempt Status: Exempt

Location and Travel Requirements

Remote position; candidates must reside in one of the following U.S. states: WA, OR, , CA, AZ, CO, TX, IL, IN, WI, TN, MA, MD, VA, NC, AL, GA, FL (with some restrictions within WA and CA). Two on‑site weeks per year in Toppenish, Washington are required; additional on‑site time may be needed for project/business support.

What You'll Do
  • Collaborate with department staff to ensure efficient and reliable system operations; monitor and evaluate interfaces and recommend improvements.
  • Meet with decision makers to provide project status and resolve issues.
  • Gather system requirements from stakeholders and develop workflows to implement interfaces or improve processes.
  • Provide consultation and guidance, conduct cost/benefit/cost analysis for proposals, prepare reports and recommendations.
  • Serve as the point‑of‑contact for various systems interface initiatives.
  • Ensure compatibility and interoperability of applications.
  • Research and evaluate software and hardware products from an interface perspective; assess equipment upgrade needs.
  • Install new equipment and software, troubleshoot problems with new and existing equipment.
  • Work with vendors on existing or new interfaces or interface systems.
  • Perform feasibility studies for interface aspects of Epic Systems implementations or enhancements.
  • Provide technical support during implementation and installation of interfaces and associated third‑party products.
  • Ensure issues are systematically reported, tracked, and resolved efficiently.
  • Provide project management for assigned projects, including creating and managing timelines, goals, scope, and status.
  • Collaborate with the IS Security team to ensure HIPAA and system security policies are represented and enforced.
  • Manage provisioning and de‑provisioning of appropriate access levels for supported systems.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Education/Experience
    • Bachelor's Degree in Computer or Healthcare field and at least 2 years’ experience with interfaces/EHR configuration in a clinic or technical environment.
    • Associate's Degree and at least 4 years’ experience with interfaces/EHR configuration in a clinic or technical environment.
    • High School Diploma/GED and at least 6 years’ experience working with Epic, system interfaces, integration engines, and/or application support.
  • Additional Experience
    • Experience with Corepoint Integration Engine.
    • Experience in a healthcare setting.
    • Previous Epic systems experience.
  • Certifications
    • Epic certification preferred, or ability to acquire an Epic certification within 90 days of training completion.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
    • Knowledge of interface techniques (HL7, X12, XML).
    • Knowledge of basic data structures and SQL.
    • Knowledge of hardware, software, peripheral equipment, and troubleshooting techniques.
    • Knowledge of clinical workflows and business systems.
    • Effective project management capability.
    • Requirements gathering and documentation of clinical/business processes.
    • Design, build, and execute comprehensive system and workflow‑based test plans and scripts.
    • Leading group discussions and guiding key decisions.
    • Prioritizing work and handling multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
    • Working independently with minimal supervision.
    • Effective verbal, written, and listening communication skills.
    • Developing effective relationships at all organizational levels.
    • Analyzing complex data and simplifying observations.
    • Strong customer relations skills; managing stressful situations.
