Location: This is a fully remote position. We are open to candidates in Latin America, the Philippines, Pakistan, or other regions able to provide reliable daily overlap with U.S. Eastern Time. Candidates must be able to work independently and provide a few hours of daily overlap with U.S. Eastern Time for check‑ins, project reviews, and coordination with company leadership.

Florida Southern Roofing & Sheet Metal, Inc. has served Sarasota, Bradenton, Venice, and surrounding Southwest Florida communities since 1992. We handle residential and commercial roofing, including repairs, replacements, inspections, tile, shingle, and metal systems. We use modern tools, structured processes, and a leadership team that is actively looking for better ways to work.
We are looking for a part‑time AI Automation Specialist to help manage and improve our existing AI agents, support our internal AI tools and business automations, and help our team get more value out of everyday AI tools like Claude. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys keeping systems running smoothly, building practical solutions, documenting clearly, and helping non‑technical employees adopt AI in their daily work.
WHATYOU WILL OWN
- Managing, monitoring, and improving our existing AI agents and internal automation tools so they run reliably with less hands‑on effort
- Helping our team adopt and get more value from AI tools like Claude, including training, guidance, and simple internal resources for non‑technical employees
- Helping build new AI assistants for areas such as operations, safety, culture, administration, reporting, and leadership support
- Creating automations between systems, CRMs, field service tools, cloud storage, email, and other business platforms
- Helping organize and document workflows so they are easy to maintain
- Troubleshooting broken automations, prompts, workflows, or integrations
- Making recommendations for safer, cleaner, and more scalable AI and automation practices
- Build, test, and maintain AI agents, prompts, and automation workflows
- Support integrations between tools such as Microsoft 365, Hub Spot, field service management platforms, cloud storage, and other business systems
- Create simple, practical automations using tools such as Zapier, Make, n8n, Power Automate, or similar platforms
- Help design workflows that reduce repetitive administrative work and improve internal efficiency
- Document systems, prompts, workflows, access requirements, and handoff instructions
- Troubleshoot errors and recommend improvements to existing workflows
- Work with company leadership to understand business needs and translate them into usable automation solutions
- Train and support non‑technical employees so they can confidently use AI tools like Claude in their day‑to‑day work
- Follow strict data security, access control, and confidentiality guidelines
- Coordinate with the company's IT provider when access, credentials, or system permissions are needed
- Experience building AI agents, AI assistants, workflow automations, or LLM‑powered business tools
- Strong understanding of AI tools, prompt engineering, automations, APIs, and business integrations
- Experience with platforms such as Claude, OpenAI/ChatGPT, and AI agent frameworks (we currently run Open Claw and Hermes agents), plus automation tools such as Zapier, Make, n8n, Microsoft Power Automate, and Hub Spot, preferred
- Comfortable working with business systems, CRM workflows, email platforms, cloud storage, and internal documentation
- Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently
- Good written communication skills in English
