OverviewThe ADA Digital Accessibility Specialist supports our client by assisting the organization with ADA compliance for websites, web and mobile applications/content, online forms, and documents to meet or exceed the Title II requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) related to digital accessibility.
Responsibilities- Responsible for the discovery and remediation of current digital accessibility issues.
- Responsible for creating internal workflows and trainings to establish ongoing compliance with digital accessibility requirements.
- Lead these efforts based on extensive knowledge of ADA digital accessibility requirements, associated technology, and organizational change management.
- Create, update, and develop accessibility content, testing processes, and procedures for specific internal groups to improve teamwork efficiency.
- Educate and provide staff with technical support in creating accessible websites and content, conventional documents, data dashboards, web applications, videos, and other digital information.
- Assist individuals and teams in using tools like Adobe Acrobat Pro, WAVE, Lighthouse, Color Contrast Analyzer, NVDA Screen Reader, Microsoft accessibility checkers, and manual keyboard navigation techniques to ensure accessibility for users of assistive technology while following federal and state guidelines.

Onsite or Remote:
Candidates must be CURRENT WI residents. Those local to the Madison area are strongly preferred. No relocation allowed. After a trial period, this position may be eligible for remote work up to three days per week.
- Knowledge of disability law including, but not limited to, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (e.g., WCAG 2.1 AA), industry standards, and best practices.
- Knowledge of web content accessibility barriers.
- Ability to work independently, proactively overcome barriers, and lead initiatives by taking ownership of remediation efforts and ensuring project success.
- Knowledge and skill in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, database tools, graphic design tools, and page layout tools.
- Strong problem determination and resolution skills.
- Excellent verbal, written, and customer service skills.
Hourly rate for 1099: $40.00
Hourly rate for W2: $29.00
