To strengthen our Application Lifecycle Management team, we are looking for a Content Management System (CMS) Architect who is passionate about designing future‑ready platforms and driving the evolution of our global digital ecosystem. In this role, you will shape the technological foundation of our content management landscape and contribute to how digital content is delivered across websites, customer portals, and future digital touchpoints worldwide.

The position can be based in Freiburg im Breisgau or Weil am Rhein.

What is the role about?

Working closely with international stakeholders and external partners, you will drive architectural decisions, establish governance standards, and help unlock new opportunities through modern technologies, automation, and AI‑enabled capabilities.

Responsibilities
  • Shape and continuously evolve Endress+Hauser's global CMS architecture, ensuring scalability, flexibility, and long‑term sustainability
  • Design content models, APIs, and integration concepts that seamlessly connect the CMS with platforms such as Digital Asset Management (DAM), search, analytics, and e‑commerce solutions
  • Define architectural standards, governance frameworks, and best practices that ensure security, compliance, performance, and reliability across the digital experience landscape
  • Partner with business and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into sustainable digital platform solutions
  • Provide architectural leadership for CMS‑related initiatives and support development teams in implementing modern, cloud‑based solutions
  • Collaborate with external partners and vendors while promoting maintainability, knowledge transfer, and reduced dependency on third parties
  • Drive innovation by evaluating and introducing emerging technologies, including composable architectures, automation, and AI‑enabled capabilities
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of Endress+Hauser's global digital ecosystem and customer‑facing digital experiences
Qualifications
  • Several years of experience in CMS architecture and the design of modern digital platforms, ideally in headless, composable, multi‑site, and multi‑language environments
  • Strong expertise in system architecture, content modelling, API design, and integration patterns
  • Experience with cloud‑native platforms, scalability concepts, performance optimization, and content delivery networks (CDNs)
  • Good understanding of security, governance, authorization models, compliance requirements, and data protection standards
  • Ability to translate business requirements into sustainable technical solutions and communicate effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders
  • Strategic and analytical mindset combined with a passion for driving innovation and building future‑proof digital platforms
  • Good German and English language skills
Benefits
  • We are a family‑owned, highly committed company with a sustainable vision
  • We promote lifelong learning with versatile training and further education opportunities, internal knowledge transfer and e‑learning
  • We prioritize work‑life balance, offering flexible working hours and remote work opportunities to support our employees in maintaining a healthy balance
  • We provide support with sustainable mobility solutions such as public transport to facilitate easy commuting for our employees
