Epic Application Analyst

Job Overview

We are searching for an Epic‑certified Revenue Cycle specialist to develop and implement best‑practice Epic strategy across operations and IT, ensuring optimal system performance and driving revenue growth.

Pay range: $92,400 – $159,450 based on experience.

• Develop and implement long‑term Epic strategy across operations and IT.
• Ensure all parties understand the significance and impact of upcoming changes.
• Educate operational leadership on process improvement and Epic best practices.
• Help implement policies and work with Revenue Cycle leaders on reporting, work queue strategy and workflow design.
• Increase revenue through standardizing workflows and process improvement.
• Lead for Epic issues identified and new change requests.
• Produce and review decision documents, SBARDs, and other build‑work documentation.
• Run client meetings and monitor client satisfaction.
• Support denial reduction, DNFB/CFB reduction, late charge reduction, registration accuracy, scheduling accuracy, authorization capture, coding accuracy, and overall productivity improvement.
• Collaborate on performance‑improvement projects, develop project plans, timelines, and status reports.
• Advise operational leaders on Epic best practices, monitor KPIs, and recommend workflow enhancements.
• Maintain deep understanding of Epic functionality and keep certifications current.
• Perform account‑level reviews and audits to ensure optimal system performance.
• Build and support system updates per IT change control process, and participate in UAT.
• Log tickets, track status, and ensure timely response and escalation as needed.
• Assist the education department in developing training materials, curriculum, and tip sheets.
• Observe operational areas, note educational opportunities, and support Epic certification processes.
• Support sales team, develop materials for new clients, and answer inquiries regarding system functionality.

• Strong implementation background with Epic revenue‑cycle functions (billing and patient access preferred).
• Working knowledge of other revenue‑cycle Epic applications.
• Understanding of interface and interface messages.
• 4‑year bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Epic Administrator Certification in a revenue‑cycle focused module.
• 3+ years of Epic build experience in billing and patient access areas.
• Strong working knowledge of hospital and ambulatory revenue‑cycle operations.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.
• Openness to innovation, including AI, to improve processes and client experience.
• Remote work authorized, with willingness to travel to client, temporary, or corporate sites as needed.
