Job Description:
Amazon Redshift Production Support Engineer responsible for the day-to-day administration, monitoring, performance tuning, incident management, and operational support of enterprise-scale Redshift data warehouse environments. The role involves ensuring platform stability, availability, security, and optimal performance while supporting business-critical analytics workloads.
- Production Support & Operations
- Provide 24x7 support for Amazon Redshift clusters.
- Monitor cluster health, availability, and performance.
- Handle incidents, service requests, and problem management activities.
- Participate in on-call rotations and production support coverage.
- Perform issue triage and root cause analysis (RCA).
- Coordinate with application, ETL, cloud, and infrastructure teams during incidents.
- Maintain SLA compliance for incident resolution and service requests.
- Redshift Administration
- Provision and configure Redshift clusters.
- Manage cluster upgrades and maintenance activities.
- Perform node replacement and cluster resizing activities.
- Configure workload management (WLM) queues.
- Manage snapshots and backup strategies.
- Restore clusters during failures or DR testing.
- Implement parameter group and cluster configuration changes.
- Having exp in Performance Tuning Backup, Recovery & Disaster Recovery Data Load and ETL Support Capacity Planning Documentation & Knowledge Management
