Business Analyst II​/ADA Digital Accessibility Specialist

Beacon Technologies is seeking a Business Analyst II / ADA Digital Accessibility Specialist to assist with remediating digital content for our client partner. ADA Accessibility experience is CRITICAL to this role. Candidates must be CURRENT Wisconsin residents. Those local to the Madison area are strongly preferred. No relocation allowed. After a trial period, this position may be eligible for remote work up to three days per week.

• Candidate must display drive and urgency in getting tasks completed quickly and independently.
• ADA Accessibility experience with websites, applications, forms, PDF and conventional documents.
• Hands-on experience in using tools like WAVE, Lighthouse, NVDA, Acrobat PRO, manual keyboard testing.

  Skills:
• Developing documentation or checklists for staff.
• Professional collaboration across all levels of the organization.

• Knowledge of disability law including but not limited to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (e.g., WCAG 2.1 AA), industry standards and best practices.
• Knowledge of web communication accessibility barriers.
• Ability to work independently, proactively overcome barriers and lead initiatives by taking ownership of remediation efforts and ensuring the success of the project.
• Knowledge and skill in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, database tools, graphic design tools, and page layout tools.
• Strong problem determination and resolution skills.
• Excellent verbal, written and customer service skills.

Additional details:
The selected hire is expected to cover parking costs or work out a reimbursement agreement with their supplier. There is some free street parking in the vicinity, or else onsite parking at a monthly rate of approximately $70/month.
