Clinical Science Liaison

Are you passionate about translating science into real-world clinical impact? Join our team as a Clinical Science Liaison (CSL) and help shape how microbiome science is understood and applied across healthcare and nutrition.

In this role, you will play a key part in delivering high-quality scientific education and support across internal teams and external partners. Working closely with cross-functional stakeholders, you will contribute directly to advancing Microbiome Labs' purpose by empowering evidence-based decision-making and innovation in microbiome and nutritional science.

The Role & Your Impact

As a Clinical Science Liaison, you will execute scientific and clinical strategies while contributing insights to optimize how we engage with clinicians, partners, and customers. This is a highly collaborative role with both internal teams (sales, marketing, regulatory, product development) and external stakeholders including educational partners and key opinion leaders (KOLs).

Key responsibilities include:

  • Present clinically relevant microbiome topics to live and virtual audiences
  • Evaluate and interpret scientific literature in nutrition and microbiome science
  • Analyze BiomeFX stool test results and develop personalized product-based protocols
  • Respond to clinical inquiries with strong expertise in gut microbiome science
  • Develop and deliver training on product usage, updates, and scientific insights
  • Support KOL identification, recruitment, and engagement initiatives
  • Educate and support regional sales and customer service teams
  • Represent the organization at conferences, trade shows, and events
  • Develop scientific content (articles, webinars, videos) for various platforms
  • Stay up to date on emerging trends in nutrition and functional medicine
What You'll Need to Be Successful

To thrive in this role, you bring a strong scientific background combined with hands-on experience in clinical or functional medicine environments.

Required qualifications:

  • Master's degree or higher (MS, RD, ND, DC, PhD or equivalent)
  • 5+ years of experience in functional or integrative medicine
  • Strong knowledge of nutritional science, biochemistry, and disease pathophysiology
  • Experience interpreting clinical data and supporting patient-related decision-making
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Proven ability to collaborate across diverse teams and stakeholders

  • Proficiency with presentation tools such as PowerPoint or Canva
