Job Summary

The Department of Economic Security (DES), Division of Technology Services, seeks an experienced and highly motivated Senior Informatica IDMC Developer to manage Master Data Management (MDM) processes and database systems. The role collaborates with business, development, and testing teams to ensure 24/7 system availability, investigate issues, and explore process improvements. Provides technical guidance to junior developers and works with analysts and architects to enhance system functionality and support business requirements.

Remote work within Arizona may be available based on department needs and performance.

The State of Arizona supports flexible work arrangements; all work should be performed within Arizona unless an exception is authorized in advance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and optimize ETL workflows and mappings using Informatica SAS MDM and IDMC.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues; fix bugs within the software.
  • Document ETL processes, workflows, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with data architects, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data integration needs and implement solutions.
  • Informatica Administration.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs)

Knowledge of:

  • Informatica REST APIs
  • Informatica Cloud, specifically SAS MDM (IDMC)
  • MS SQL Server
  • Data warehousing concepts and BI architecture
  • Different scripting languages
  • Data Modeling / Data Warehouse Designing concepts
  • Azure Dev Ops

Skills In:

  • Expertise in Master Data Management (MDM) aspects: data collection, standardization, ingestion, match/merge rules, and survival conditions.
  • Experience in ETL data management, data warehouse design and implementation, and administration.
  • Developing, maintaining, and testing IDMC workflows.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills; ability to test and resolve defects.
  • Strong SQL experience and understanding of dimensional data models for robust data modeling and secure Data Warehouse design.
  • Proficiency in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) using Agile methodologies.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Ability:

  • Translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Work effectively and prioritize tasks across multiple initiatives.
  • Build strong relationships inside and outside the organization.
  • Write technical documentation.
  • Work well independently and in a team; use or maintain testing frameworks, libraries, databases, and test environments.
Selective Preference

The ideal candidate will have: a Bachelor's degree or five+ years of advanced Informatica design and development experience with Informatica SAS MDM and Power Exchange; experience developing Informatica ETL mappings using Designer, Workflow Manager, Workflow Monitor, and Repository Manager.

  • Successful background and reference checks; employment contingent on completion.

Retirement
