Overview
Join the Clean Energy Revolution. Become a Data Analytics Advisor within the Data Analytics and Automation team at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. You will lead complex analytical initiatives, collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, and develop innovative data-driven solutions that influence strategic decisions across the organization. This role applies advanced analytics to solve meaningful business challenges and supports AI-enabled operations.
Responsibilities- Gathers data from multiple sources (databases, spreadsheets, APIs, data warehouses) and ensures data integrity by cleaning and preprocessing to remove errors, inconsistencies, or missing values that could affect analysis.
- Applies statistical and analytical techniques, including descriptive statistics, data mining, predictive modeling, and machine learning, to identify patterns and trends.
- Transforms data into visual representations (charts, graphs, dashboards) that present insights clearly to enable data-driven decisions.
- Creates reports and summaries that communicate analysis and findings to non-technical audiences, including key metrics, visualizations, and actionable recommendations.
- Monitors data quality, tracks performance metrics, and analyzes new data to ensure relevance and accuracy of insights; assists in evaluating and improving analytics methodologies and processes.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams (data scientists, business analysts, and stakeholders from various departments) to define analytic objectives and align analysis with business needs.
- Protects sensitive information and upholds high standards of conduct and integrity when accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, and confidential records.
- Seven or more years of experience in data analysis.
- Experience using a variety of data tools and software.
- Advanced SQL, SAS, and Snowflake skills with experience working on large, complex datasets from multiple sources.
- Experience with modern cloud-based analytics platforms (Azure, Snowflake, Databricks, or Google Cloud Platform).
- Experience presenting technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Experience translating business challenges into analytical requirements and actionable recommendations.
- Experience leading cross-functional projects and influencing stakeholders across multiple organizational levels.
- Work mode is hybrid. The employee reports to an SCE facility for a set number of days with optional remote work on remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in California. Details will be discussed at the interview stage. Work mode can change based on business needs.
