Scientific User Experience (UX) Designer
Spire Communications is hiring a full-time User Experience (UX) Designer with demonstrated expertise in user research, information architecture, and interaction design to support communications for the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF). This role shapes the usability and information architecture of NSF.gov and internal platforms, including Microsoft SharePoint and Service Now Employee Center, through research-driven design and user-centered analysis. Working closely with website designers, developers, content strategists, and stakeholders, the UX Designer develops research-informed recommendations, wireframes, prototypes, and testing plans that improve navigation, content organization, and task completion while balancing user needs, technical feasibility, accessibility requirements, and agency goals.
The position is hybrid, with potential for full-time at the client site in Alexandria, VA.
