A career‑focused position requiring a deep knowledge of enterprise storage systems with a particular emphasis on Dell EMC technologies.
Required Skills- 5+ years of dedicated enterprise storage engineering experience, with at least 3+ years specifically focused on Dell EMC platforms.
- Deep technical knowledge of Power Scale/Isilon (OneFS) architecture, including Smart Pools, Smart Quotas, SyncIQ, InsightIQ, and DataIQ.
- Proven experience deploying and managing Dell EMC ECS (Elastic Cloud Storage), with strong understanding of object‑based architectures, buckets, name spaces, and geo‑replication.
- Advanced understanding of file and object protocols, including NFS (v3/v4), SMB/CIFS, and S3 API.
- Strong grasp of storage networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VLANs, LACP) and directory services integration (Active Directory, LDAP, Kerberos).
- Excellent problem‑solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex system logs and performance metrics.
- Experience with other Dell EMC storage arrays (Power Max, VPLEX) or SAN switches (Brocade, Cisco MDS).
- Familiarity with hybrid‑cloud storage tiering, e.g., Cloud Pools tiering to AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience with infrastructure‑as‑code and configuration management tools (Ansible, Terraform).
- Scripting proficiency in Python, Power Shell, or Bash.
