Jomar Valve is a manufacturer and distributor of innovative plumbing, industrial and HVAC components. The Business Systems Analyst will support our business systems, daily operations, reporting, automation, and process improvement across the company. The focus is to develop expertise in business processes, determine and fix root issues, improve processes, and assist departments in efficient use of our systems. Although not aimed at being a helpdesk role, occasional assistance is required.
This role works closely with all departments. Hybrid remote work can be made available under the proper conditions.
As the business continues to rely more on ERP, reporting, EDI, OCR, automation, and Microsoft 365 tools, this role helps to bridge the gap between IT systems and daily business operations.
The ideal candidate will be inquisitive, practical, and eager to dig into problems. This person must be local, engaged, and committed to learning the day-to-day business. They must be able to work well with both technical systems and business users, identify root causes, and take initiative to improve how work gets done.
Primary Responsibilities- Learn and support the full order lifecycle, including order entry, EDI, OCR, inventory, fulfillment, shipping, invoicing, and customer service
- Support, maintain, and improve the ERP system and related business workflows
- Act as a reliable backup for system and process questions
- Analyze and troubleshoot EDI, OCR, order flow, and operational issues
- Investigate business process problems and identify root causes
- Build, maintain, and improve reports, dashboards, and data tools
- Research and recommend automation opportunities that reduce manual work
- Use Microsoft 365, Power Platform, and light custom tools where they can improve the business
- Work closely with Customer Service, Operations, Sales, Accounting, Procurement, and IT
- Reduce manual steps and improve consistency through automation and better workflows
- Help departments make better decisions with clear reporting and better visibility into operations
- Helpdesk assistance when necessary, up to 20% of time
- Provide occasional support to affiliated/sister company operations as business needs require
- SQL experience or strong ability to work with data and reports
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strong understanding of business operations and how work moves across departments
- Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical users
- Curious, hands‑on mindset with the ability to research, test, and develop solutions
- ERP experience
- Manufacturing or distribution experience
- EDI or OCR experience
- ERP Report Writer or Dashboard Designer experience
- Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps, or similar reporting and automation tools
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times
- Must be able to navigate and observe all departments within the company
- Bachelors in Information Technology, Management Information Systems (MIS), or related field(s)
- 3-5 years industry experience
