Position: AS-400 Administrator
Description

The system administrator will work in a global team supporting the customers ERP systems and iSeries as400 mainframes. This person will work in the team to support the various systems running on the AS400 mainframe that are business critical as well as maintain close working relationships with various stakeholders to analyze and support these systems. In this role, you will play a key role in preventing and resolving production disruptions, manage risk, improve support effectiveness, and continually improve technical processes.

Role Working with Business Analysts and Developers to help support the applications running on AS400 Supporting Enterprise One package builds and Deployments Support of hardware (pSeries, HMC, VIOS, Storage, Backups, Etc.) Support of various applications that are critical for the As400 OS (Robot, Cilasoft, Power Ha, Etc.) Responsible for testing PowerHA Failovers Participate in Bi Yearly Disaster Recovery Tests. Work with Security team for various SOX, Audit items, etc.

Responsible for keeping systems up to date (PTF, OS upgrades, Firmware updates, etc.) Will be required to be in Rotational Shifts with occasional 24/7 on-call responsibilities. Requirements 5+ Years of AS400 administration, Security, OS upgrades, 5+ years PowerHA experience 5+ years

Experience with BRMS backups on AS400 5+ Years

Experience with iSeries V7R1 and newer 5+ years System Administration experience with JD Edwards One World or Enterprise One (package builds, security administration, OMW, etc.) Installation & Upgrade experience with J2EE application servers (Web Logic Application Server) Installation and Upgrade experience with JD Edwards Enterprise One on Windows or AS/400 5+ Years knowledge of networking, TCP/IP and Microsoft Windows Server Systems 5+ Years

Experience with HMC for pSeries 5+ Years

Experience with Lpars on VIOS Strong knowledge in the structured query language (SQL)

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Winston-Salem, NC.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $65.00/hr.
