Systems Engineer I – Bellevue, WA

We are seeking a Systems Engineer I to drive the strategic vision and management of JIRA and Confluence, ensuring alignment with business objectives and operational efficiency.

• Maintain, administer, enhance, and integrate JIRA and Confluence.
• Develop medium to complex JIRA workflows, including project workflows, screen schemes, permission schemes, and notification schemes.
• Create JIRA projects, queries and reports, JIRA templates, custom issues, workflows, forms and attributes.
• Troubleshoot and address issues arising with Confluence and maintain user access.
• Review and approve global changes to JIRA and Confluence to maintain system stability.
• Recommend best practices and standardization in implementing and leveraging processes within the Atlassian Suite.
• Discover, scope, and implement JIRA and Confluence workflows that meet business needs.
• Research and recommend Atlassian products, plug‑ins, and roadmap features for future enhancements to support business objectives.
• Utilize JIRA, Confluence, REST Services, VB Script, Java, JavaScript, Groovy, SQL, Python, Agile Kanban/Scrum, networking, DNS, databases, web proxies, Active Directory, and web APIs.

• Master’s degree in Information Systems or a related field or equivalent.
• Two (2) years of experience designing custom JIRA workflow to automate provisioning, building, and deploying servers and applications.
• Proficiency in developing medium to complex JIRA workflows and administering JIRA and Confluence.
• Experience with REST Services, VB Script, Java, JavaScript, Groovy, SQL, Python, Agile Kanban/Scrum, networking, DNS, database, web proxies, Active Directory, and web APIs.
