Data warehouse Engineer - 100% Remote Snowflake and Databricks Focus

Implements and optimizes the computerized database systems that support our ability to function

Be able to write scripts and import data, as well as create users, if needed

Resolve customer issues and escalate blockers early

Communicate technical requirements to technical and non-technical customer stakeholders to ensure customer readiness

Must believe good data is vital to a company's health

Implements and maintains smooth operation and physical design of databases

Conducts performance tuning of indexes and databases in general

Reviews database design and integration of systems, provides backup recovery and makes recommendations regarding enhancements and/or improvements

Maintains security and integrity controls

Formulates policies, procedures, and standards relating to database management, and monitors transaction activity and utilization

May develop stored procedures and/or triggers

Develops and enforces database administration and user standards and procedures; audits, modifies, and amends data in systems using SQL commands

Reviews technical designs, reports, documentation, and other materials produced by teammates, new database and online technology

Make effective and decisive decisions when presented with multiple options for how to progress with any project

Skills we're seeking

Strong cloud-based data warehousing experience

Must have experience with Snowflake or Databricks – if you have both, even better!

Strong SQL experience
