Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related discipline is preferred, or an equivalent mix of education and relevant professional experience.
- 10+ years of network administration experience, including at least 2 years in a senior network administrator or network engineering role centered on enterprise‑scale network design, deployment, and optimization.
- Current industry‑recognized certification such as CCNP, Microsoft Certified Azure Network Engineer, or an equivalent credential.
- Deep expertise in configuring and managing routers, switches, wireless platforms, SSL/VPN, TCP/IP, VLANs, DMZs, DNS, load balancers, and cloud networking technologies.
- Advanced knowledge of routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP, switching technologies, and network performance tuning.
- Strong background in architecting, implementing, and improving complex LAN/WAN environments, including advanced setup of routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Solid understanding of network architecture, optimization, and security best practices.
- Hands‑on experience with firewalls, VPNs, secure authentication, network access control, and intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS).
- Advanced knowledge of network segmentation, zero trust architecture, and compliance frameworks such as NIST, ISO, and HIPAA.
- Proven ability to design, configure, and oversee complex network infrastructures.
- Excellent documentation skills, including network diagrams, configuration records, and procedural materials.
- Lead the design, deployment, administration, and tuning of enterprise networking solutions, including advanced routing and switching, VLAN segmentation, VPN architecture, LAN/WAN infrastructure, wireless networks, load balancing, secure internet connectivity, disaster recovery environments, and remote offices.
- Provide strategic input on network scalability, performance enhancement, and high availability to support business continuity and growth.
- Offer technical leadership in the implementation and administration of networking technologies such as switches, routers, VLANs, VPNs, LAN/WAN links, and external connections including the internet, disaster recovery sites, and remote offices.
- Maintain, refine, and support VoIP networking infrastructure, including periodic updates to routers, switches, and related devices.
- Contribute to responses for internal and external audits, penetration tests, and vulnerability assessments related to network hardware and infrastructure.
- Improve network and communications performance by monitoring activity, optimizing utilization, and fine‑tuning hardware and software settings.
- Develop requirements, participate in projects, and lead initiatives as needed while keeping teammates informed on project status within the team’s specialty area.
