Madison, WI

Contract position – 10 months. Compensation: DOE.

• Work on a team responsible for facilities-based systems, including surveillance, door control, building automation, and telecommunication.
• Design, plan, install, and support these systems, including desktop PCs, servers, network devices, storage solutions, and surveillance-specific equipment.
• Install, configure, maintain, and monitor statewide networks filtered with Palo Alto and Zscaler, mitigating issues as they arise.
• Produce extensive system documentation, updates, project tracking, and management reporting.
• Operate independently at the agency’s nearly 200 locations statewide, many of which are secure sites.
• Travel days and long workdays are common; maintain flexibility and strong troubleshooting skills.

• 10+ years of experience in surveillance, network, and server support.
• Strong troubleshooting, improvisational, creative, and adaptable skills.
• Knowledge of Cisco networking, Palo Alto firewalls, Windows workstation support.
• Ability to perform duties in a residential or willing to relocate within one hour of Madison, WI; must be a WI resident.
• Hybrid work schedule: work from home and on-location at prisons as needed.
