The Team
At Hitachi Vantara, our Cloud Architecture team is at the center of the company’s global digital transformation, delivering secure, scalable, and resilient cloud platforms that support both enterprise IT and product development. Operating across AWS as our primary cloud and GCP as a strategic secondary platform, we design and govern multi-cloud environments that enable innovation while maintaining strong security, networking, and operational standards.
As our cloud footprint continues to grow, we are expanding the team with experienced architects who can help shape our cloud strategy, modernize infrastructure, and support emerging technologies including AI and machine learning.
As a Cloud Solution Architect, you will be a senior technical leader responsible for designing, implementing, and evolving Hitachi Vantara’s multi-cloud platform across AWS and GCP. You will work closely with architecture, security, networking, infrastructure, and product teams to deliver secure, scalable, and cost‑effective solutions while establishing governance, operational standards, and best practices. The role includes ownership of core cloud services, connectivity between cloud and on‑premises environments, workload migration strategies, disaster recovery architecture and multi‑cloud networking.
You will also collaborate with business and product teams to enable AI/ML initiatives by designing cloud environments optimized for training, inference, and data platforms. In addition, you will mentor engineers and architects, helping drive technical excellence and cloud adoption across the organization.
- Design, implement, and evolve the multi‑cloud platform across AWS and GCP.
- Collaborate with architecture, security, networking, infrastructure, and product teams to deliver secure, scalable, and cost‑effective solutions.
- Establish governance, operational standards, and best practices for multi‑cloud environments.
- Own core cloud services, connectivity between cloud and on‑premises, workload migration strategies, disaster recovery architecture, and multi‑cloud networking.
- Enable AI/ML initiatives by designing cloud environments for training, inference, and data platforms.
- Mentor engineers and architects to drive technical excellence and cloud adoption.
- 10+ years of enterprise IT experience with significant hands‑on AWS architecture and engineering expertise.
- Deep knowledge of AWS Organizations, Landing Zone, Control Tower, Service Catalog, and Service Control Policies.
- Strong experience designing and operating cloud networking solutions including Transit Gateway, Shared VPCs, hybrid connectivity, and multi‑cloud architectures.
- Expertise in AWS security, governance, identity, and cost management best practices.
- Experience with Kubernetes and container platforms, including EKS, ECS, and GKE.
- Knowledge of serverless and event‑driven architectures using services such as API Gateway and Lambda.
- Hands‑on experience with GCP, including Organization design, IAM, Shared VPCs, networking, and core platform services.
- Experience supporting AI/ML cloud platforms and services such as Sage Maker, Bedrock, Vertex AI, or similar technologies.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional certification (current); GCP Professional Cloud Architect certification is highly desirable.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and mentoring capabilities within globally distributed teams.
This is a remote position. Candidates must be located within reasonable driving distance of the Denver, Colorado metro area, as periodic in‑person team meetings and events will be held locally.
CompensationAs required by the equal pay and transparency acts, the expected base salary for this position is: $120K to $150K. The expected on‑target earnings for this position is: $136k to $170k. The expected pay is determined based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, depth of experience in the practice area. Employees are eligible to participate in Hitachi Vantara’s bonus/variable/commission pay programs, where applicable, and are subject to the program’s conditions and restrictions.
