Position Overview

As a Network Administrator under the direction of the Chief Information Officer (CIO), you will ensure the stability, security, integrity, and efficient operation of Tessera’s network infrastructure and information systems that support critical business operations. You will be one of three technical leaders within the IT Department, partnering closely with Cybersecurity and Systems Administration to drive technology initiatives and maintain compliance with the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) framework.

Responsibilities
  • Design, install, configure, maintain, support, and optimize network hardware, software, telecommunications, and communication systems.
  • Provide advanced technical support and resolve Help Desk requests that affect network services.
  • Lead, coordinate, and manage the deployment and maintenance of network devices, systems, and proprietary software nationwide.
  • Support all network services and protocols such as DNS, WINS, DHCP, Active Directory, web services, authentication, SMTP, SNMP, TCP/IP, IPv6, and IPsec.
  • Oversee network management and monitoring, including discovery, mapping, topology, event management, alerting, patch management, and performance monitoring.
  • Collaborate with vendors to ensure technology stays current and to anticipate necessary upgrades.
  • Lead, configure, and maintain internet security solutions, including firewalls, UTM, VPNs, anti‑virus, anti‑spam, and content filtering.
  • Maintain consistent, secure, high‑speed connectivity for corporate and remote offices, proactively planning capacity and eliminating bottlenecks.
  • Evaluate and recommend network technologies to support diverse user communities and keep the network ahead of demand.
  • Participate in IT product research related to network performance and connectivity.
  • Manage vendor relationships, ensuring value and effectiveness.
  • Install, configure, and support all network user hardware/software, including workstations and peripheral devices.
  • Document all incidents, resolutions, and system processes in a methodical and organized manner.
  • Provide user training and technical training as required.
  • Participate in cross‑departmental projects and provide technical expertise as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment, and travel to remote offices as required.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field (required).
  • 5–8 years of experience in MS Windows network management within a multi‑system environment (required).
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Valid Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification; if not held at hire, must be obtained within 12 months.
  • After achieving CCNA, expected to pursue Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) certification.
  • Preferred certifications: MSCE, MSCA, Network+, Security+.
  • Valid state driver’s license and ability to obtain and maintain required security clearances; access to federal military installations requires a REALID‑compliant license, U.S. passport, or military .
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to provide technical correspondence suited to diverse audiences.
