BAE Systems Cyber Security Products (CSP) group is looking for a motivated junior IT professional to join our support engineering team in Reston, Virginia. Our support engineering team provides support to CSP sales managers and customers in requirements capture, architecture recommendations, CDS implementation, training, and post‑sales support. At CSP you will learn how to interpret the National Cross Domain Strategy & Management Office (NCDSMO) Raise‑the‑Bar (RTB) requirements for CDS development and deployment.
CSP support engineers interact with government leadership at NCDSMO, government customers (military and civilian), defense contractors, other CDS firms, and our internal developers of products domestically and abroad. Support engineers provide customer support from the home office and at the customer sites, requiring travel to U.S. and international locations.
- Provide pre‑ and post‑sales support of BAE SYSTEMS CDS products.
- Perform professional technical work requiring in‑depth knowledge of NCDSMO RTB requirements.
- Generate technical documentation (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) of proposed and as‑built CDS implementations.
- Provide on‑site and remote assistance to CSP customers on the implementation, management, and operation of BAE SYSTEMS CDS products.
- Work closely with sales managers, support engineering, testing, and development teams.
- Apply critical thinking to discern technical security requirements delivered from non‑technical and/or non‑security focused professionals.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
Additional Qualifications / Responsibilities- 4 years IT support experience in Linux/UNIX environments (technical certifications may substitute for the degree).
- Problem‑solving and critical‑thinking skills.
- Current Security Clearance preferred but not required.
Full‑time salary range: $63,653 – $108,210.
