Mandates technical leadership within a team responsible for developing and supporting optimization and forecasting solutions for software used for inventory management, planning, and campaign delivery; administer databases including MySQL, DynamoDB, PostgreSQL, Cassandra, and MongoDB; deploy, configure, and manage AWS cloud services (EC2, EBS, RDS, S3, Route 53, Secrets Manager, Cloud Watch); model data, design schemas, manage data structures across systems, and select data types (JSON, UUID, BLOB);

implement automated backup and restore strategies, snapshot management, and recovery plans; optimize SQL and No

SQL queries, manage indexing, and scale architectures for performance and stability using the Percona Toolkit; use Prometheus, Grafana, Cloud Watch, and PromQL to build and optimize dashboards and alerts; develop automation services and scripts in Python, Go, and Shell with Git Hub and VSS; manage permissions, encrypt sensitive data, and configure IAM policies, Secrets Manager, and VPC security groups with AWS and Terraform;

perform version control and CI/CD using Git Hub; deploy databases in containers with Kubernetes and Docker; perform all aspects of database administration including hardware and software evaluation and installation, logical and physical design, structured testing, security administration, backup and recovery planning, performance tuning, research of new tools, and development of policies, standards and procedures; support development, QA, and production systems at data centers;

maintain capacity planning; develop and implement complex data models; oversee design, tune, and maintain database systems for high‑availability, high‑volume internet applications; provide recommendations on database technologies and features; collaborate with network and security teams to ensure adherence to security standards; and mentor junior‑level team members. Position eligible for remote work one or more days per week.

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, and five (5) years of experience administering databases including MySQL, DynamoDB, PostgreSQL, Cassandra, and MongoDB; implementing automated backup and restore strategies, snapshot management, and recovery plans; optimizing SQL and No
