Position Summary

Location:
Hybrid (home office with occasional office attendance for meetings and team events).
Schedule:
Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Salary: $70,000 – $87,000 annually with annual bonus potential based on performance.
Job DescriptionSupport management and senior staff in the research, analysis and development of Business Intelligence (BI) solutions. Identify areas for data quality improvement and provide support in resolving data quality problems. Provide training and support to end users regarding BI solutions and the IBI data warehouse. Assist with the development of proposals and business cases. Develop end‑user documentation and communication plans. Analyze the impact of changes to Actuarial, Underwriting, Sales, Processing and Claims procedures/systems on data and reporting.
Assist in developing data management quality assurance standards and processes. Participate in root cause analysis and problem‑solving activities. Maintain Competency Center documents.
- Support management and senior staff in BI solution development.
- Identify and resolve data quality problems.
- Provide user training and support.
- Assist with business case development.
- Develop documentation and communication plans.
- Analyze impact of procedural changes.
- Develop data QA standards and processes.
- Participate in root cause analysis and problem solving.
- Maintain Competency Center documents.
Required
Education
- College‑level coursework in Business Administration, Information Systems, Statistics, Insurance or a related field.
Experience
- Programming experience using SAS, Easytrieve, SQL, HTML and JavaScript.
- Experience creating web pages.
- Auditing, balancing, and reconciling data.
- Analyzing procedures to identify and correct errors.
- Preparing reports, correspondence and project plans.
- Acceptance testing, including development of test scenarios and test data.
- Proficiency with PC software applications such as MS Office, Excel, Access, SAS or other statistical software.
- Experience with control languages such as JCL.
Knowledge and Skills
- Technology project lifecycle and analytical and project management tools.
- PC software applications such as Visio, ERWIN, and process‑mapping tools.
- Data management quality assurance standards and processes.
Ability To
- Communicate effectively in a work environment and publicly.
- Analyze information and business process flows.
- Use business intelligence tools such as SQL, Data Studio, SAS and Oracle BI.
- Explore alternative approaches to existing processes and project objectives.
- Identify coding issues and recommend improvements to systems.
- Understand technology as it relates to business functions.
Preferred
Education
- Associate degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Statistics, Insurance or a related field.
Experience In/With
- Documenting business processes.
- Insurance processes and procedures such as actuarial, claims, underwriting.
- P&C insurance products, trends and practices.
This position works from a home office with occasional office attendance for meetings and team building events.
