About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Dev Ops Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will lead the technical direction, architecture, and reliability of our secure, scalable, and high-performance SaaS platform. Your expertise will be instrumental in designing and implementing cloud-native solutions utilizing serverless technologies and container orchestration tools. As a leader, you will mentor engineers across various levels, promote best practices in automation, and influence the company’s technical strategy to ensure system robustness and operational excellence.
The ideal candidate will possess a passion for building resilient, scalable systems and thrive in solving complex engineering challenges that impact multiple teams and stakeholders. This position offers a hybrid work model, requiring three days a week in our San Jose office, and provides an exciting opportunity to shape the future of a cutting-edge financial technology platform.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 8+ years of experience in Dev Ops, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Infrastructure Engineering roles.
- Deep expertise in cloud-native technologies, including Kubernetes, ECS, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
- Proficiency with monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana, Coralogix, AWS Cloud Watch, and Open Telemetry (OTEL).
- Extensive experience with CI/CD pipelines, automation, and scripting using tools like Jenkins, Git Hub, Python, Bash, or Go.
- Strong understanding of AWS networking, security, and infrastructure architecture.
- Exceptional communication skills, capable of translating complex technical concepts for diverse audiences.
- Proven ability to work independently, lead high-impact projects, and mentor engineering teams.
- Analytical mindset with a focus on troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and problem-solving.
Responsibilities
- Define, design, and implement architectural enhancements to ensure platform scalability, reliability, and security.
- Take ownership of system availability, durability, disaster recovery, and performance metrics.
- Establish and monitor SLIs, SLOs, and SLAs, and develop proactive alerting systems and real-time dashboards for system health insights.
- Collaborate with development teams to develop and refine CI/CD workflows, automating processes across the software development lifecycle.
- Mentor and guide engineers at all levels, promoting best practices such as test-driven development and automated testing.
- Partner with cross-functional teams including engineering, product management, and customer success to address complex technical challenges and implement scalable solutions.
- Continuously evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend improvements and innovations to our platform infrastructure.
- Document architecture, processes, and operational procedures to ensure knowledge sharing and consistency across teams.
