The Northrop Grumman Classified Solutions team is seeking a Network Communications Administrator to support information system lifecycle activities. The selected candidate will be required to work on-site, full-time at our Palmdale, CA location. This position will require occasional travel to other supported sites:
El Segundo, CA, Palmdale, CA, and Edwards AFB, CA.

The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Perform Network Communications activities in support of classified government contracts.
- Maintains operations of LAN/WAN/VPNs and encryption technologies.
- Plans, designs, configures, and implement small to medium scale LAN/WAN solutions that meet mission-requirements.
- Lead the configuration, testing, and roll-out of routing/switching platforms and security appliances.
- Contribute to proposing technical network design solutions to management.
- Conduct capacity planning, performance forecasting, and present recommendations to program managers.
- Develop and maintain enterprise-wide network standards, policies, and documentation; ensuring security compliance.
- Resolve incidents (WAN failures, security events, etc.) within expected tolerances, coordinating cross functionally with teams as needed.
- Coordinate third-party maintenance for network equipment.
- Provide second-level support resolution of technical problems and answers queries by telephone, in support of internal customers computer hardware, software, network, and telecommunications systems.
- Work performed independently; senior staff may provide strategic guidance.
- Lead customer engagements; define requirements, develop implementation schedules, and oversee delivery.
- Implement and troubleshoot LAN/WAN technologies such as VLANs, trunking (port tagging), spanning-tree and protocols.
- Support environments by means of ticketing requirements systems (Service Now, JIRA, etc.).
- Define and execute long-term network architecture roadmaps, such as SDWAN, Zero Trust, and cloud-enabled networking, ensuring alignment with enterprise security and compliance requirements.
- Lead the design, integration, and implementation of large-scale, multidomain networks supporting classified missions, and oversee network migrations and cyber resilience initiatives.
- Serve as a senior technical liaison to government customers and internal leadership, negotiating requirements, delivering status briefings, and participating in external technical forums, proposals, and procurement discussions.
- Author, maintain, and enforce enterprise-wide network standards, policies, and security frameworks; regularly audit compliance and champion continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide advanced monitoring, analysis, and planning for network systems, coordinating third-party maintenance as needed and supporting environments through ticketing systems (e.g., Service Now, JIRA).
- Deliver third-level technical support for complex network, hardware, software, and telecommunications issues
- Develop innovative technical solutions to complex problems, support project designs, clarify requirements, and ensure solutions adhere to established standards.
- Raise issues requiring management attention and measure performance against KPIs, implementing corrective actions to exceed operational standards.
- Provide senior-level technical expertise by mentoring junior and experienced team members, fostering their professional growth and enhancing team capabilities
- Lifts and moves equipment up to 50 pounds.
- Work after hours, and weekends, as needed.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree with 0 years of relevant experience; a High School diploma (or equivalent) with 4 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of completed degree
- Candidates must have a current US Government Top Secret level security clearance (or higher) in order to be considered,
