We are looking for an E-Commerce Web Development Intern to help complete and improve our Shopify website. This is an unpaid internship designed for someone who wants hands-on experience building a real e-commerce store and developing portfolio-ready work.

The intern will work directly with the founder and contribute to customer-facing website features. You may include this internship on your résumé, Linked In profile, and future job applications. You may also use approved portions of the website that you helped build as examples in your professional portfolio.

Responsibilities

Help complete and improve the Kohi Gum Shopify website.
Write and edit HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Shopify Liquid.
Build and customize Shopify sections, product pages, landing pages, banners, buttons, and other website elements.
Improve the website’s appearance and functionality on desktop and mobile devices.
Troubleshoot layout, styling, responsiveness, and theme-related issues.
Test website changes before they are published.
Improve website navigation and the customer shopping experience.
Maintain consistent branding throughout the website.
Identify opportunities to improve usability, performance, and conversions.
Document completed work and explain how custom features function.
Work directly with the founder to turn ideas and designs into working website features.

Potential Projects

Projects may include:

Creating custom Shopify sections.
Improving product and bundle pages.
Building responsive desktop and mobile layouts.
Adding product badges, promotional banners, and savings labels.
Improving navigation and calls to action.
