Position: IT Business Analyst - Master Data Management [REMOTE]

The IT Business Analyst – Master Data Management (MDM) focuses on translating complex healthcare data needs into robust, scalable configurations within our enterprise Profisee platform. This role collaborates with clinical, operational, revenue cycle management, finance management, accounting and other technical teams to design, optimize, and govern high-quality master data domains. By bridging the gap between business processes and technical architecture, the analyst ensures data integrity and regulatory compliance across the enterprise ecosystem.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Gathers and documents complex business requirements, data definitions, and governance rules from healthcare stakeholders.
  • Designs enterprise data models and maps cross-functional data lineages specifically for the Profisee MDM platform.
  • Conducts thorough data profiling and root-cause analysis to identify anomalies, gaps, and data quality issues.
  • Formulates, executes, and maintains comprehensive Quality Assurance test plans and validation scripts for MDM integrations.
  • Configures and refines matching, merging, survivorship, and business rules within the master data ecosystem.
  • Establishes and facilitates automated data stewardship workflows to empower clinical and administrative data owners.
  • Partners with data engineers and architects to design resilient ETL/ELT pipelines and target-system integrations.
  • Monitors data health metrics, establishes quality thresholds, and leads technical data remediation initiatives.
  • Translates changing industry compliance standards, privacy laws, and security protocols into enforceable data policies.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required.

  • Demonstrated success in implementing enterprise-level Master Data Management solutions, preferably using Profisee.
  • Proficiency in mapping clinical, financial, or operational workflows to unified enterprise data structures.
  • Successful record of driving data quality, data profiling, and structured data-cleansing initiatives.
  • Strong working knowledge of data quality assurance methodologies, test automation, and validation frameworks.
  • Excellent technical writing skills for detailing complex data definitions, source-to-target mappings, and business glossaries.
  • Strong relational database and technical capabilities to independently query and profile large data sets.
  • Experienced in working within structured agile methodologies, product backlogs, and sprint cycles.
  • Proven capacity to communicate complex data governance requirements to both technical developers and non-technical healthcare executives.
  • Practiced in navigating healthcare compliance landscapes, data security protocols, and patient privacy frameworks.
Education/Experience

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required.

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Health Informatics, Information Systems, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business analysis required.
  • Data quality assurance and/or data analysis experience in addition to business analysis is good to have.
  • Minimum of 3 years of working directly with healthcare data domains (e.g., patient, provider, or clinical data).
  • Progressive experience in data lifecycle management, data warehousing, or enterprise software implementations.
Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of:

  • Master Data Management software (specifically Profisee).
  • Relational databases and structured query tools (SQL Server, Snowflake, AWS Glue, cloud data warehouses).

Enterprise reporting and data visualization platforms (Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
