THIS IS AN ON-SITE POSITION
As an IT Support Specialist at Premier Group Insurance, Inc., your primary role is to assist?in ensuring consistency and minimise downtime for on‑site, and remote employees’ workstations and peripheral devices. The primary areas of focus include identifying inefficiencies in work flows among users, detecting and fixing security vulnerabilities, along with communicating new features, hotfixes, updates, and errors with the effected users and the development team.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with computer hardware and software
- Identify and resolve networking issues
- Assist with tracking of inventory of workstations and users assigned
- Consistently log errors, pending items, and enhancement requests
- Primary focus on IT technical responsibilities, including and not limited to:
- Device Management:
Maintain device inventory, security, and configuration standards; install required applications on staff devices and ensure compliance with company policy - Device & Peripheral Procurement:
Order, configure, and deploy laptops, desktops, and peripheral equipment (monitors, docks, keyboards, headsets, etc.) for staff - Contractor & Remote Access Support:
Coordinate with offshore and remote contractors to provision the tools, systems, and access required for their assigned roles - General IT Support:
Provide day‑to‑day technical support to staff, including issues related to devices, email, VoIP, Microsoft 365 applications, browsers, printing, Wi‑Fi, operating systems, and system registry settings - Network Management:
Monitor network traffic and enforce network policies to maintain the security of the organization’s network; evaluate and implement improved rule sets and security practices while minimizing external access points. Manage access points, firewalls, VLAN configuration, VPN connectivity, and Ethernet infrastructure - Endpoint Security (Crowd Strike):
Manage endpoint protection using Crowd Strike; maintain proficiency in configuring EDR policies and other Crowd Strike modules deployed across the organization - Device & Security Policy Management (Intune):
Maintain proficiency in Microsoft Intune to manage device compliance and security policies organization‑wide - Azure Cloud Resource Management:
Manage Azure cloud resources, including IAM security policies, resource usage monitoring, and cost analysis - Email Security:
Manage email security through KnowBe4 phishing simulation/training and additional vendor‑based quarantine and filtering services - Password Management (Keeper Security):
Administer Keeper Security for organization‑wide password management and credential security - Google Workspace Management:
Manage Google Workspace for internal users, including supporting the sun setting and migration process from Google Workspace to Microsoft - User & License Provisioning:
Oversee user provisioning, deprovisioning, and licensing across systems and vendors, including Entra , Adobe, , VoIP, and Microsoft Office - VoIP / Softphone Management:
Set up and manage the VoIP system and softphone application for staff - Disaster Recovery & Backup:
Ensure all company devices are properly backed up and can be restored in the event of data loss, maintaining organizational disaster recovery readiness - Building Security Access:
Manage physical building security access systems and permissions - Remote Support (RDP):
Use remote desktop tools (RDP) to troubleshoot and resolve issues for remote staff - Internal Tools & Systems Support:
