The IT Client Delivery Leader translates business needs into actionable IT demands, advocates for the division within enterprise IT planning and prioritization processes, and ensures technology delivery supports safe, efficient, compliant, and scalable healthcare operations across hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, physician practices, and related care settings.
Key Responsibilities- IT Client Delivery Services is responsible for ensuring that each division and market receives consistent, responsive, and business-aligned IT partnership. While maintaining alignment with enterprise IT standards, policies, architecture, and service delivery processes, the following duties are core expectations of this role:
- Serve as the primary IT advocate for assigned divisional leadership, ensuring divisional priorities, operational/clinical needs, risks, and service concerns are represented in enterprise IT planning, governance, prioritization, and execution.
- Build trusted working relationships with division presidents, market leaders, facility executives, clinical operators, physician practice leaders, and shared-service stakeholders to understand business objectives and translate them into IT needs.
- Assist with and guide divisional IT demand, including operational requests, project needs, technology gaps, service issues, regulatory concerns, and growth-related requirements.
- Partner with corporate IT leaders to prioritize work against enterprise capacity and risk.
- Assist with the development of IT budgets and guide IT spending decisions.
- Recommend and explain technology as needed to enable standardized, cost effective and functionally suitable solutions.
- Monitor IT service performance for the assigned division, identify recurring issues or service gaps, elevate barriers.
- Coordinate with infrastructure, applications, cybersecurity, service desk, field services, data, and vendor teams to drive resolution.
- Partner with project managers, solution owners, technical teams, and divisional stakeholders to ensure IT initiatives are appropriately scoped, communicated, sequenced, adopted, and delivered in support of divisional and enterprise objectives.
- Promote adherence to corporate IT standards, cybersecurity controls, HIPAA requirements, audit expectations, and healthcare regulatory obligations.
- Help divisional leaders understand technology risk and required remediation actions.
- Help drive coordination and response from site tasks for the assigned division.
- Provide clear, timely communication to divisional stakeholders regarding IT changes, outages, projects, standards, support processes, and technology decisions.
- Support adoption of new solutions through stakeholder engagement, readiness planning, and feedback loops.
- Act as a senior point of coordination for complex or high-impact IT issues affecting divisional operations.
- Ensure appropriate ownership, follow-through, executive visibility, and closure.
- Identify opportunities to improve IT service consistency, responsiveness, standardization, transparency, and business value across the division and across the broader three-division operating model.
- Overall, the goal of the IT Client Delivery Leader is to ensure each division has a clear, accountable IT partner who understands its operational priorities, advocates for its needs, connects it effectively to enterprise IT capabilities and processes, and helps deliver secure, reliable, and value-driven technology services.
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, healthcare administration, business administration, or related field, or comparable work experience.
- Proven experience, typically 5+ years, in IT leadership, client delivery, relationship management, healthcare technology operations, or related roles.
- In-depth understanding of IT service delivery, demand management, incident escalation, project delivery, change management, governance, and continuous improvement practices.
- Prior healthcare operations or healthcare IT experience related to hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, physician practices, or other care delivery environments is strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of healthcare regulatory, privacy, security, audit, and compliance expectations, including HIPAA and applicable corporate governance standards.
- Ability to travel as needed to support divisional leadership, facility engagement, critical initiatives, escalations, projects and operational reviews; estimated travel up to 50.
