Systems Engineer, Cloud Computing: Infrastructure & Operations, Systems Administrator
As Infrastructure systems engineer you will be responsible for implementing, and maintaining robust IT solutions based on Microsoft 365 and related cloud technologies within the Mohawk organization.
This role offers an opportunity to work in a collaborative environment and contribute to innovative projects that enhance productivity, security, and scalability across the organization.
Your main activities will be:
- Provide Tier 3 support and act as a technical escalation point for the IT team.
- issues, and implement effective solutions.
- Manage Microsoft 365 solutions, including Exchange Online, Teams and One Drive.
- Administer and maintain Azure AD, Entra , Conditional Access Policies for identity and access management.
- Oversee Active Directory (on-premises and hybrid) environments, ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Automate administrative tasks using Power Shell and other scripting tools to improve efficiency.
- Manage endpoint solutions, to ensure device compliance and security.
- Support hybrid cloud environments, integrating Microsoft 365 with on-premises systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and troubleshoot IT infrastructure solutions.
- Configure and manage servers, storage, and other core infrastructure components.
- Develop and enforce GPOs to maintain consistent security and compliance standards.
- Build and maintain automation scripts and deployment processes.
- Design, maintain and execute standardized patch baselines.
- Contribute to SOX-compliant processes through proper administration and documentation.
- Create and maintain high-quality technical documentation and standards.
- Propose and implement operational, performance, and security improvements.
- Ensure adherence to enterprise policies, standards and best practices.
- Minimum bachelors degree or equivalent through experience.
- 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in managing enterprise environments.
- Experience working in multi-site, international environments.
- Proven experience with Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online, Teams and One Drive.
- Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Azure AD, Entra , and Conditional Access.
- Proficiency in Power Shell scripting for automation and administration tasks.
- Experience with endpoint management tools such as Intune, Ivanti, or SCCM.
- Experience supporting PKI & Certificate Services.
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware).
- Understanding of network protocols and infrastructure.
- Hands-on experience with GPO management and deployment.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical people.
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Proactive mindset with focus on continuous improvement and optimization.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
- High level of ownership and accountability.
- Fluent in Dutch and English.
