Job Summary

Bishop DuBourg High School is seeking a knowledgeable and service-oriented IT Technician to support the school's technology infrastructure and daily operations. This role is responsible for maintaining hardware, software, and network systems while providing timely technical support to faculty, staff, and students. The IT Technician helps ensure a reliable and efficient technology environment that supports teaching, learning, and administrative functions.

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for computers, devices, printers, and classroom technology
  • Install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, and operating systems
  • Assist with the management and maintenance of network systems, including Wi-Fi connectivity and user access
  • Support classroom technology, including projectors, interactive boards, and audio/visual equipment
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and password resets
  • Perform routine system updates, backups, and security checks
  • Respond to help desk requests in a timely and professional manner
  • Maintain inventory of technology equipment and supplies
  • Assist with technology setup for school events, meetings, and presentations
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to support educational technology needs
  • Ensure adherence to Archdiocesan technology policies and data security standards
Job Requirements
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field preferred
  • Prior experience in IT support, help desk, or network administration preferred
  • Working knowledge of Windows and/or Mac operating systems
  • Familiarity with basic networking concepts, printers, and device troubleshooting
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple requests effectively
  • Commitment to supporting the mission and values of Catholic education
  • Must meet all Archdiocesan requirements, including background check and Safe Environment training
