This opportunity resides with All-Domain Operations (ADO), a business group within HII’s Mission Technologies division. All-Domain Operations comprises multi-domain operations, platforms and logistics, and intelligence operations.

Summary:HII Mission Technologies is seeking a UI/UX Designer to support the United States Postal Service (USPS) Office of Inspector General (OIG).The UI/UX Designer will craft modern, intuitive designs that make our web tools simple and engaging to use.
This role is hybrid with 1 day per week onsite at our Arlington, VA location.

What You Will Do:- Design intuitive interfaces and user flows for OIG web applications.
- Create wireframes, mockups, and UI specifications to support clear, modern designs.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and technical teams to understand needs and gather feedback.
- Translate complex requirements into simple, effective visual workflows.
- Modernize site graphics and interaction elements while following U.S. design standards.
- Improve navigation paths and overall usability with minimal custom coding.
- Participate in testing to ensure designs function as intended.
- 2 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 0 years experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 years relevant experience.
- Conceptual understanding of User Interface Design and the Design Process
- Intermediate to advanced user of Adobe Creative Suite (or other designer tools)
- Intermediate level of HTML, CSS and Bootstrap
- Understanding of Less and Sass
- Understanding of responsive design and touch interface interaction techniques and be in sync with recent design standards and trends
- Understanding of the limitations of web and mobile, with approaches/ideas to flex those boundaries. A solid portfolio of work demonstrating experience creating great user-centered design solutions across multiple interfaces and screen sizes
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- At least 5 years of experience as a user experience designer, interaction designer, information architect, or similar role
- Excellent communication and team-oriented skills
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
