The Department of Justice (DOJ) Bureau of Computing Services (BCS) provides information technology services for the Department and supports several systems used by law enforcement across the State of Wisconsin.
Position SummaryThe Bureau of Computing Services is currently looking for an IT Asset Management and Procurement Consultant (IS Business Automation Consultant Administrator) to join our dynamic team. Under the general supervision of the Bureau of Computing Services (BCS) Chief Information Officer (CIO), this position will manage department-wide IT assets and vendor services.
Duties of the position include, but are not limited to, the following: coordinate relationships and activities with IT vendors, technical staff, and end users on the use of the IT Asset Management systems; lead acquisition-planning activities; procure a variety of IT hardware, software and IT vendor services; monitor and audit inventory systems; administer the IT contractor Vendor Management System (VMS); ensure deadlines and functionality expectations are met;
serve as a point of contact and representative for department staff with the Bureau of Budget and Finance (BBF) for any procurement, asset management, and /or vendor management; and manage and provide solutions to business areas by engaging stakeholders, identifying, and documenting business objectives, needs and requirements, and then translating them to software requirements.

Salary InformationThe IS Business Automation Consultant Administrator position is in pay schedule 07 and pay range 32. The starting base wage will be between $50.00 - $62.38/hour ($104,000 - $129,750 annually). The starting pay will be determined depending upon experience and qualifications. Pay for current or former state employees will follow the provisions found in the State of Wisconsin Compensation Plan effective at the time of hire.
A 12-month probationary period may be required.

This position is eligible for remote work. DOJ offers hybrid remote/office work. If interested in remote work, this can be discussed in more detail during the interview process. The selected employee(s) must report to DOJ’s office on the first day of employment. In addition, the employee may need to report to DOJ on short notice as operational needs require. High speed internet access will be required to meet needs of remote work.
