The Senior Product Manager is a strategic product leader responsible for defining and executing the product strategy for one of Optum Payment Integrity's Intelligent Fraud Detection products. This role offers the opportunity to take an early-stage product from pilot to scale, shaping the product strategy, commercialization path, and broader market launch.
Optum Payment Integrity helps health plans and healthcare organizations ensure claims are paid accurately and fairly, reducing unnecessary medical spend across the full claim lifecycle through a combination of advanced analytics, AI, and deep healthcare reimbursement expertise. You will own the product vision, roadmap, and performance ensuring the product delivers measurable client value, scales effectively, and remains differentiated in the market.
Why this role
- Build it, don't inherit it. This is a genuine pilot-to-scale opportunity. The decisions you make on strategy, packaging, and go-to-market won't refine an existing playbook - they'll write it
- Fight fraud at industry scale. You'll apply data science, network analytics, and machine learning to uncover emerging fraud patterns and turn them into detection capabilities and workflows that protect payers and the healthcare system
- Own the full arc - pilot to market. Few product roles let one leader shape a product from early proof through commercialization and scale. You'll have that end-to-end mandate, working alongside senior leaders across product, engineering, data science, and go-to-market
This is a high-impact role for a strategic product leader who thrives at the intersection of data, technology, and market opportunity, and who is equally adept at setting vision and driving execution.
You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Define the Market Vision and Product Strategy
- Lead Product Development and Execution
- Measure and Optimize Product Performance
- Collaborate to Drive Market Growth
- Stay Ahead of Market and Industry Trends

If you thrive on turning insight into impact and working across teams to drive innovation, you'll find your next challenge here.
You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.
