On Site in Washington DC three days per week

Clearance: US Citizenship Required, Public Trust or the ability to obtain

Dev Technology Group is looking for an experienced Business Analyst to coordinate and support an agile development team providing software development, integration, and O&M support for our Government customer. This role assists the lead PM to ensure that the team meets or exceeds expectations. The best candidate will enjoy working as part of a team, bring attention to detail, and seek to solve problems for our Government customer.

What

You'll Be Doing:

The Business Analyst will support the lead PM to ensure that all task requirements and requests are addressed in a timely and professional manner, manage customer communication, create project documentation, gather requirements, maintain the backlog, and test. This project supports 27 interrelated financial systems, so excellent documentation, prioritization, and communication skills are key. You will work with representatives from other Federal teams to understand their requirements for functionality and to troubleshoot issues when they occur.

This position will require meeting with and representing the team with various client programs and offices. This position will manage some subprojects’ progress from creation through deployment and will track status of the related work items.

This position will perform the following:

  • Gather requirements from customers and create associated documentation
  • Communicate with product owners and customers, maintaining a backlog of requirements
  • Lead assigned projects through agile development approaches, especially Scrumban
  • Coordinate and execute agile activities
  • Maintain project backlog
  • Test development products: production support tickets, support integration, functional and regression testing, and perform requirements verification
  • Schedule meetings, staffing, report generation, gather and document detailed requirements and specifications
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Required

Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of business analyst experience in an information technology setting
  • Experience with Agile software delivery, Scrum or Scrumban preferred
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams in complex system implementation and integration projects
  • Ability to work in a demanding and deadline-driven environment
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to manage and plan multiple efforts implemented by multiple teams
  • Agile development experience
  • Ability to clearly communicate key information to the customer, such as status, strategy, risks, and issues, providing options and recommendations to assist customers with decisions
  • Ability and willingness to support software testing activities, including smoke, regression, and post-migration testing, ensuring requirements are accurately validated.
  • Familiarity with Cloud-native technologies, especially Azure
Preferred

Skills and Experience:
  • Experience with Service Now for work tracking strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with .NET and Azure environments
