SAP BASIS Specialist

Our client, a leading organization in the energy sector, is seeking a SAP BASIS Specialist to join their team. As a SAP BASIS Specialist, you will be part of the IT Department supporting enterprise-wide SAP solutions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location:

Remote (with a preference for hybrid capabilities, onsite every Tuesday within a 2-hour drive from Sacramento, California)

• Provide technical and architecture design support for enterprise SAP solutions including ECC, S/4 HANA, and cloud-based SAP platforms.
• Administer and support SAP ecosystem operations such as installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, and troubleshooting.
• Coordinate SAP system installs, upgrades, patches, backups, and restorations, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system stability, scalability, and security compliance.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, procedures, and inventories related to SAP system administration.

• Minimum of five (5) years of experience supporting SAP ABAP and JAVA systems.
• At least three (3) years supporting S/4 HANA, C/4 HANA, Success Factors, and SAP BTP technologies.
• Proven experience supporting major SAP implementations or upgrades, including S/4 HANA migrations.
• Strong knowledge of SAP system design, configuration, and troubleshooting in UNIX, Linux, Windows, and AIX environments.
• Relevant SAP certifications related to the scope of work are highly desirable.
