This opportunity resides with All-Domain Operations (ADO), a business group within HII’s Mission Technologies division. All-Domain Operations comprises multi-domain operations, platforms and logistics, and intelligence operations.

HII – Mission Technologies is seeking a Software Engineer. The Software Engineer designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs software applications and systems that incorporate logical and mathematical solutions. This role supports multi‑disciplinary research and collaborates with hardware engineers and equipment designers to plan, develop, and optimize electronic data‑processing systems for both product and commercial software. The engineer analyzes user needs, determines system capabilities, resolves issues related to program intent and outputs, and develops operating instructions, compilers, assemblers, and utility programs.

The position conducts ongoing software maintenance, ensures adherence to software standards, and evaluates the feasibility of software designs within specified time and cost constraints. Additional responsibilities include supporting open‑systems architectures such as the Future Airborne Capability Environment (FACE), implementing technology refreshes, coordinating installations, and integrating modern development practices such as Agile, Dev Ops, and Dev Sec Ops . The engineer may also develop software supporting image and video manipulation.

This requisition supports hiring at multiple experience levels. Final placement will be determined based on the selected applicant’s qualifications, experience, and skill sets.
