As our Senior Asset and Configuration Management Specialist you will be working with multiple teams to develop Asset and Configuration management strategies, policies, standards, and guidelines. Champions the importance and value of Asset and Configuration management and develops new methods and organisational capabilities (including automation) for Asset and Configuration management. Works with multiple teams to drive adoption of and adherence to policies and standards.
Measures and monitors adherence to standards and ensures consistent execution of the process across the organisation.

- Own and develop Asset & Configuration Management processes, ensuring alignment with ITIL standards, governance requirements, and audit controls.
- Maintain an accurate asset register and CMDB, managing the full lifecycle of assets and configuration items from provisioning to retirement.
- Ensure system, infrastructure, software, cloud, and supplier-managed asset records remain accurate, complete, and up to date.
- Collaborate with Change Management and IT teams to assess, plan, test, and implement configuration changes with minimal business disruption.
- Monitor, audit, and report on asset and configuration compliance, ensuring adherence to security policies, regulatory requirements, and contractual obligations.
- Provide asset and configuration insights to support operational decision-making, risk management, incident resolution, and problem management activities.
- Drive continuous improvement through automation, optimisation, KPI reporting, and the adoption of Asset & Configuration Management best practices.
- strong understanding of IT infrastructure, hardware, software, cloud technologies, and configuration management principles.
- Experience using Asset & Configuration Management, ITSM, discovery, and monitoring tools.
- Proven experience managing hardware and software asset life cycles and maintaining accurate asset and configuration records.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and recommend effective solutions.
- Excellent attention to detail, ensuring data accuracy, governance compliance, and audit readiness.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across technical and non-technical teams.
- Previous experience in an Asset & Configuration Management role, supported by ITIL certification or equivalent industry qualifications.
