- Supports delivery of projects developed by Celestica's Global Design Services organization.
- Provides direction for source selection and ensures proper process implementation.
- Works with the Commodity Management teams to ensure negotiations meet business requirements and growth
- plans.
- Works with the supply chain management process for customers, from materials pricing and BOM analysis to
- delivery execution and flexibility performance.
- Quotes and negotiates critical high dollar or strategic commodities, or provides direction to a team of
- commodity managers.
- Provides support in the analysis of costed customer bids or quarterly BOM Costing exercises for global
- customers.
- Works with Global Design team to optimize Design for supply chain performance of Celestica products.
- Provides direction to Commodity Management teams on contract negotiations.
- Supports quarterly business reviews with customers, and with senior management at key/strategic suppliers.
- Provides leadership and direction with respect to interaction with suppliers. Leads process development and
- development of commodity strategies.
- Has regular communication with customers related to demand, commitments, non-performing inventory, and
- future process changes /improvements.
- Supports projects or programs on a global basis.
- Ability to interact with employees at all levels including executives and/or major customers.
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of supply chain management, distribution methods, and global
- transportation services and inventory management.
- Good understanding of IT concepts and integrated business applications.
- Good knowledge in all areas of import / export, regulatory and logistics management
- Excellent analytical, negotiation and problem resolution skills
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to resolve complex issues & problems internally and externally
- Significant skills required in multi-tasking and time management
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a wide variety of internal and external
- customers.
- Able to work effectively cross- functionally and with other sites to achieve objectives.
- Frequent travel to related sites is required (up to 25%)
9+ years of relevant experience and previous experience within electronic manufacturing environment.
Typical Education- Bachelor's degree in related field (Engineering or Materials Management), or consideration of an equivalent
- combination of education and experience
