 What Your Job Will Be Like pWe are seeking an IT Systems Administrator (Computer Infrastructure Engineer) to join our Special Operations 24/7/365 team! We are a mission focused organization and provide critical support to a wide variety of organizations and agencies. You will have the opportunity to work with a wide range of technologies, both commercial and custom, and have direct input on the future of our strategic path.

pOn any given day, the Systems Administrator may be called on to:

ul liProvide real-time support to critical activities impacting our nation liMaintain security compliance and overall availability to our dedicated mission operations datacenter liManage and maintain an IT infrastructure consisting of web servers, data processing and specialized hardware liProvide input on design and deployment of new technologies and applications liWork in an exciting and dynamic 24/7/365 mission-first environment liPerform Linux and Windows installations, configurations, upgrades and security patching (bare metal hardware and virtual environments) /ul pThis role will require an ability to be on-call for after-hours/weekend support of mission activities 24/7/365.

pDue to the nature of the work, the selected applicant must be able to work onsite 100% of the time at the Livermore, CA facility.

pThe selected applicant will be required to acquire and maintain CompTIA Security+ certification (or equivalent).

 Salary Range p$88,900 - $171,900

 Qualifications We Require ul liBachelor's degree in related field with at least 2 years' experience; or equivalent combination of related education and/or experience. liExperience building, maintaining, and/or administrating one or more of the following systems:
CentOS 8, Oracle Linux 8+, Windows Server 2019, and Windows 10. liPosition requires an active U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Q Level security clearance, and the ability to obtain a DOE SCI level security clearance, which requires U.S. Citizenship and a polygraph. /ul  Qualifications We Desire ul liFamiliarity with USG security accreditation requirements, policies and processes. liExperience with Linux operating systems, virtual environments, and/or related hardware.
liExperience with VMWare administration and engineering. liExperience with writing intermediate to advanced shell scripts. liKnowledge of and experience distributing and implementing standard configurations with Ansible. liExperience working in a 24/7/365 operational environment. liAbility to Implement, support, and maintain multi-platforms, including Splunk, Solarwinds and other performance/monitoring technologies and use tools to monitor and support systems. /ul  About Our Team pThe Special Programs Operations (SPO) Department is responsible for executing and coordinating a variety of classified efforts at SNL's California site.

These critical efforts entail providing communications services to multiple customers. We work closely with the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA), Department of Defense (DoD), and Intelligence Community (IC) to accomplish these efforts. The centerpiece to this effort is the manning and support of an on-site 24/7/365 Mission Support operations center. We also have charters to
1) Develop processes and procedures for the acceptance, operationalization, and accreditation of new capabilities.
2) Manage ongoing accreditation of the IT and software systems,
3) Develop of innovative IT systems to reduce the total lifecycle costs for the broad range of capabilities being executed.
