Pharma Project Manager, Level I - Remote, United States

The Pharma Project Manager, Level I plans, organizes, and executes projects that use data to create value. They lead teams through the project lifecycle, from development to operations, and are responsible for the project's success. Coordinates team across multiple departments and vendors for multiple concurrent projects.

• Project planning:
  Create and maintain project charter, roadmaps, timelines, and objectives. Manage project scope, schedule, financials and relationships.
• Team management:
  Coordinate tasks, schedule and evaluate team members and manage stakeholder expectations
• Project execution:
  Ensure projects meet timelines and resource constraints, and comply with legal and ethical requirements
• Communication:
  Manages overall project communications including executive stakeholders, colleagues, vendors, business stakeholders, and clients as needed.
• Documentation:
  Create and manage all project related artifacts including but not limited to Project Plans, RAID logs, Change Management, Status and Meeting documentation.
• Risk management:
  
  Identify and manage project-related risks. Ensure appropriate escalations and mitigations.
• Process improvement:
  Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiencies.
• Vendor management:
  Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers.
• Data project managers should have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and be able to work under pressure. They should also be able to multitask and guide and motivate others.
• Work Pace:
  Ability to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple concurrent assignments.

• Degree in life sciences or computer sciences or a related field strongly desired.
• Must have relevant Information Technology pharmaceutical / biotechnology industry experience.
• Minimum 5-7 Years commercial pharma/ biotech IT project management specifically in IT systems, data management, data warehousing and master data management.
• Strong base understanding of standard data warehouse designs elements such as data ingestion, modification, and extraction.
• Ability to articulate complex concepts in a simple and coherent manner, both verbally and in writing.
• Proven experience of working with complex integrated systems, using creative and strategic thinking to deliver exceptional results.
• Strong ability to listen to discussions and capture actions and requirements in meaningful, precise manner that can be understood by both technical and non-technical participants.
• Ability to present concepts and lead discussions on design issues with authority and poise both internally and to clients. This is a client-facing role.
• Ability to collaborate and relate to team members from a large variety of backgrounds on a daily basis. Must have experience working with local and virtual teams.
• Excellent Microsoft Office computer skills (Word, Excel, PPT, Visio). Proficient with MS Project, Smartsheet, JIRA and common Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Excel, Power Point, Word, One Note, Visio, Outlook).
• Experience working with SharePoint (or similar) project work spaces / document repositories.
• Experience with the following items:
  • Working in a regulated environment, must have life sciences experience.
  • Working with and managing third party suppliers/vendors
• Ability to operate with limited oversight and needs to command the respect of a broad range of business and technology stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficient at recognizing and defining risks and developing response and mitigation plans for them.
• Experience managing Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) and / or Software as a Service (SaaS) projects, including integrations into and out of these systems, & data migrations.

• Typical schedule will be Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
• Must be flexible to accommodate departmental needs and client/staff time zones.
• At times, overtime maybe needed to accomplish deliverables which could include evenings or weekend hours.
• For all remote meetings, there is an expectation of being on-camera for all meetings with appropriate business attire and standard Slipstream virtual background.
