LocationUS‑based remote position. Candidates in the Tampa Bay area preferred. Tampa‑based employees may have the possibility of transitioning to a hybrid schedule in the future, requiring periodic onsite presence at our Tampa, FL location.

Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Database Administrator to manage enterprise Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server database environments for a federal government IT program. Responsibilities include database administration activities, performance optimization, security compliance, and ensuring high availability of mission‑critical data systems in a cloud‑hosted environment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform enterprise Oracle and SQL Server database administration in a federal IT environment.
- Architect, optimize, and maintain high‑availability database configurations.
- Implement database security controls, access management, and data integrity enforcement.
- Manage backup/recovery operations with quarterly validation testing.
- Execute SQL tuning, data integration, and ETL/SSIS support activities.
- Develop and maintain contingency plans and business impact analyses for database systems.
- Support disaster recovery and continuity of operations exercises.
- Collaborate with and support junior DBA staff.
- Minimum T3 security clearance.
- Bachelor's degree OR Oracle 19c/SQL Server certification OR 5+ years of DBA experience.
- Proven expertise in Oracle 19c+ and Microsoft SQL Server administration.
- Experience with high‑availability database configurations (clustering, mirroring, replication).
- Strong SQL tuning and performance optimization skills.
- Oracle OCP/OCM or Microsoft SQL Server certification.
- Cloud‑hosted database experience (OCI, Azure, or AWS RDS).
- Federal IT background with DoD data governance requirements.
- Oracle or SQL Server certification preferred.
