An Infor Presales Consultant partners with sales teams to design, position, and demonstrate industry-specific ERP solutions across manufacturing and distribution sectors, leveraging the full Infor product suite.

1. Solution Consulting & Discovery
- Engage clients to gather business, functional, and technical requirements
- Analyze current systems and identify gaps
- Recommend best-fit solutions across:
- M3 → Process manufacturing, distribution
- LN → Complex/discrete manufacturing
- CSI (Syte Line) → SMB manufacturing
- XA → Legacy IBM i manufacturing clients
- Edge → AI-driven insights and automation
- Deliver tailored, industry-specific demos
- Build compelling business scenarios (order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, plan-to-produce)
- Highlight integrations across the Infor ecosystem
- Lead responses for RFPs / RFIs / RFQs
- Prepare:
- Solution architecture diagrams
- Scope and effort estimations
- Bill of materials (BOM) and licensing inputs
- Collaborate with sales for pricing and positioning
- Demonstrate deep understanding of:
- ERP modules:
Finance, SCM, Manufacturing, Procurement - Infor technology stack:
- Infor OS
- Infor ION
- Infor Birst
- Cloud vs on-prem deployments
- Integration architecture
- Data migration strategies
- Support industries such as:
- Industrial Manufacturing
- Automotive & Aerospace
- Food & Beverage
- Distribution & Logistics
- Position appropriate product based on complexity and scale
- Support account executives throughout the sales lifecycle
- Workshops
- Discovery sessions
- Executive briefings
- Act as a trusted advisor to business and IT stakeholders
- Position Infor against:
- SAP
- Oracle
- Emphasize:
- Industry-specific Cloud Suites
- Modern UX and AI capabilities (via Edge)
- Faster time-to-value
Functional Expertise
Strong knowledge of:
- Manufacturing processes (MRP, BOM, APS, shop floor control)
- Supply chain planning & execution
- Finance modules (GL, AP, AR)
ERP presales / consulting experience
Understanding of:
- Cloud (SaaS) architecture
- APIs & integrations
- Data flows and reporting
- Strong presentation and demo delivery
- Excellent communication & stakeholder management
- Ability to handle objections and solution positioning
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / IT / Business
- 3–12 years of experience in ERP (Infor preferred)
- Hands-on exposure to one or more:
- M3 / LN / CSI (Syte Line) / XA
- Certifications in Infor products (added advantage)
- Customized demo environments
- Solution design documents
- RFP/RFI responses
- Effort and cost estimations
- ROI and business case presentations
- Strong mix of functional + technical ERP knowledge
- Experience in manufacturing or supply chain domains
- Passion for client interaction and solution selling
- Ability to work across multiple Infor products and industries
